Perovskite-type PVT for energy self-sufficiency
We are looking for collaboration companies for the world’s lightest PVT!
PVT is an abbreviation for “Photovoltaic-Thermal” and refers to a technology that combines solar power generation (PV) and solar thermal energy (thermal).
With this technology, solar cells generate electricity while at the same time recovering the heat accumulated in the solar panels and using it for hot water or heating, making it possible to significantly improve energy efficiency.

Perovskite paint + hollow polycarbonate heat recovery panel = world’s lightest PVT
Approximately 60% of the energy demand of an average household is for heat.

Off-grid perovskite PVT is expected to bring about an energy revolution.
By introducing a thin and lightweight off-grid photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) system, the following benefits can be expected:
1. Improved energy efficiency
- By combining photovoltaic (PV) and solar thermal (thermal) generation, it is possible to generate electricity and recover heat in the same area, improving energy utilization efficiency.
- In addition to generating electricity, the recovered heat can be used for hot water and space heating, minimizing energy waste.
2. Reducing environmental impact
- Off-grid systems do not rely on fossil fuels, reducing CO2 emissions and providing a sustainable energy supply[1][3].
- Since it can operate independently even during natural disasters or power outages, it is also effective as a BCP (business continuity plan) measure.
3. Thin and lightweight for easier installation
- Thin and lightweight PVT modules have fewer installation location restrictions, such as on roofs and walls, making them suitable for use in a wide range of environments[7][8].
- This is a particularly effective option in off-grid environments such as camper vans, remote islands, and mountainous areas.
4. Cost reduction and economy
- Reducing dependency on power companies and achieving self-generation and self-consumption will lead to long-term electricity cost reductions.
- Reducing the weight of equipment also reduces transportation costs and construction burdens, and has the effect of reducing initial implementation costs.
5. Multi-purpose use
- Since it can be used as a hot water supply or heating system, it can be used not only in households but also in agricultural facilities, glamping facilities, and other places.
- It also functions as an emergency power source in the event of a disaster.
Due to these characteristics, thin and lightweight PVT is expected to be a technology that will further enhance energy self-sufficiency in off-grid environments.
We look forward to hearing from interested parties.
